After seeing the documentary "Forks over Knives" and attending Dr. Esselstyn's workshop at the Cleveland Clinic our eyes were opened to the undisputed benefits of his plant based diet and we have first hand experience in the benefits. I decided to organize this group to meet others who are on the diet or who might be interested to hear more about it. Anyone who wants to prevent or even reverse heart disease should join!

Over the past 2 years, I have lost 150 pounds. I did it by myself: no pills, no crazy diets, no reality shows... I still have about 60 pounds to go, so I thought it might be a good idea to start a (free) diet club. This would be a chance for us to guide and support one another. We meet every two weeks to share our struggles and successes. There is nothing in this for me except the opportunity to help others and, in doing so, continue on my own path to fitness.
